Easter 2011

This weekend was Easter and boy did Hailey make out on candy this year! Friday at school they had their Easter party to which she had an egg hunt and walked away with a basket full of goodies. Saturday evening we went to the Hartke Easter party and had another egg hunt and 2 more egg hunts on Sunday, one at home and another at Grandma's house.

We had a great weekend with Family and enjoyed seeing everyone and catching up. See pictures below from our weekend.

Play Ball!!!

This year I put Hailey in Tball for the first time. So far it's been going ok for her first time. Playing tball is a lot differnt for Hailey compared to soccer or swimming where she is always busy. Last night we had practice and we got our uniforms....Hailey was pretty excited about her baseball hat! She is playing for McDonald's team this year and is #10!

A taste of Spring!

This past weekend we had a definite taste of spring! The weather was beautiful Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday! And boy did we soak up every ounce of it! Saturday Hailey played outside on our patio for hours with sidewalk chaulk galore! She also made a picture for uncle Chris that she drew of them both. Sunday...it's exhausting to even think about again! ha! We went to the park while my car got an oil change and then came home for lunch and then headed to the big park in Troy which was so crowded but Hailey had a blast and of course made a friend named Emily. Came home and had freeze pops and rested for a big and then I started grilling out for dinner. All while Hailey played outside. And after dinner she twisted my arm to go the park down the street from us one last time before bedtime. It was a great day of being outside but boy were we both tired and ready for bed last night!

Down for the count!

Last week on Sunday, after Hailey's 5th birthday party with her friends, she started with a fever! It ran all the way until Friday! Any where from 103.3-100 was her normal temp for the week. Even on motrin at times she was around 101 still. I took Hailey to urgent care Monday evening to see what was going on because she didn't complain of anything current just a fever. Well we didn't get any more info after seeing the Dr than we already knew. They swabbed her for strep but that came back negative and told us she just has a virus. Called her pediatrician in the morning and they said that they were seeing a lot of that and it was lasting anywhere from 3-4 days!

So between myself and Grandma (THANKS GRANDMA!) we managed the whole week off while miss hailey got better. I've never seen Hailey so sick before. Normally when she has a fever, I give her motrin and she's up and playing like normal but not this time. Hailey laid around a lot and even took a nap once or twice a day which I can't remember the last time she actually napped at home for me!

But thankfully she is better and we even got to enjoy some of the nice weather we've been having!

Happy 5th Birthday Hailey!!!!!

Happy 5th Birthday Hailey!!!! Can't believe this day is already here! I woke Hailey up this morning with my tradional cupcake and candle and sang to her. Love doing this! She got to open up her present which was a new outfit for her birthday! She was so excited! She also heard her name annouced on the radio which she thinks is absolutely the coolest thing!

Tonight we are taking her out for dinner to celebrate!

Aunt Tracy's Baby Shower

This past weekend was Tracy's baby shower. It was a great time! Hailey I think is finally starting to get excited about the idea of a boy cousin! She was so set on Tracy and Chris having a girl but we all know that once she sees that baby and gets to hold him she will be in awe and want to be his buddy and help with him whenever she can! Hailey turns 5!!!!

WOW! Well my "baby" girl girls 5 years old tomorrow! Cannot believe that she is that old already, time really does fly by! I remember 5 years ago today like it was yesterday! I was 2 days overdue and miserable! Everyone kept telling me that I would be having this baby any time but I certainly didn't feel that way. I even left work this day 5 years ago telling everyone I would see them tomorrow...but that definitely wasn't the case. My water broke at 11pm on March 3rd and we rushed the hospital. I was only 1 cm dialated and having small contractions but I was not feeling them. After being forced to walk the hallways for an hour they let me sleep and woke up and I was not any further along, maybe 2cm. Started me on Pitocin around 10 or 11am. Made the contractions come along a lot laster and I was definitely feeling the pain then! I got the epidural and life was good. I slept most of the afternoon on the 4th and around 6:30ish I started to feel pressure down there. Pushed for 1 hour and Hailey Marie was born at 7:58pm on March 4th weighing 8lbs 15oz and 20 inches long! I will never forget the moment I first saw her or what it felt like to hold in my arms the first time! She was perfect and beautiful! Hailey Marie I love you more than words could ever describe...you are my favorite person and someone who makes my heart smile just thinking of you!!! Here are a few pictures from the past 5 years.
