So this past weekend was Hailey's actual 6th birthday. How she is 6 years old amazes me. It literally snuck up on me this year and I think it was part of my denial that it wasn't really happening. Since her birthday was on a Sunday, I took off work on Monday and took her to school and brought in cupcakes to share with her class. Afterwards we went out to lunch at the cheescake factory where Hailey ordered bow tie pasta with marinara sauce all by herself and even though she ordered the oreo cheesecake, she was not a fan of it at all. No complaints from mom on that though! And they of course sang to her and made her day even more special. Afterwards we went to go check out the movies and decided to go see the new Dr Suess The Lorax movie that just came out. We bought our tickets and then realized we had 40 minutes to wait till it started so I took Hailey over to Charming Charlies where I knew she'd be in heaven with all the little accessories and jewelry. Yes she truly is my daughter isn't she?? :o) She found 2 new necklaces she liked and then we headed back to the movie theater. Hailey enjoyed the movie but when we got home we were both exhausted and took a nap....even Hailey did! It was a great day together!
